The birth of LittlestBit
My first son was born in 2003, and slings/baby carriers were not available to buy anywhere in our city at that time. I ordered one online for an outrageous amount of money and fell in love with baby wearing. I started making my own ring slings shortly after that.
After our second son was born, I started using pouch slings when he was an infant, then moved back to ring slings as he grew. When my niece was born, I couldn't wait to start making girly things! Now I make dresses and tutus and dolly slings for her and love to see her face when she gets a new gift. She's the model in most of my pictures, and cute as can be!
I have some free time now, and a converted our never-used formal dining room into my oft-used informal crafting room. After friends suggested I sell my crafts on Etsy, I just went for it. I chose the name from a nickname my father gave me when I was born. He said I wasn't "bigger than two bits," and still calls me Bit to this day.
I'm doing what I love, and being able to share it with others and hear that they love my work, too, is one of the best feelings! I hope you enjoy my crafts as much as I enjoy making them.
